Captured at 7am on a freezing January morning from Snowmass this image shows Capitol Peak catching first light as the sun breaks over the Elk Mountains. For just a few minutes, the summit glows warm against the cold alpine shadows one of those quiet moments you only get if you’re out early enough to see it.
